Climbing in Salzburg

Discover a climbing holiday in Austria

Without any doubt, climbing is the supreme form of alpine sports. It demands technique, power, courage, endurance – and, of course, suitable mountains. We have plenty of those mountains. In total, 266 peaks higher than 3,000 metres await you during your holidays in the Hohe Tauern National Park.

The holiday region, in which hotel in the Pinzgau is located, offers a large number of via ferratas, climbing gardens, boulder spots, indoor climbing centres and high ropes courses.

Climbing gardens are outdoor courses where you can pracitce rock climbing. According to your individual skills, you can choose between several climbing routes. Climbers who spend their holidays in the Hohe Tauern National Park are also happy about the numerous via ferratas. A via ferrata is a protected climbing route, which uses additional climbing aids like iron ladders, rungs, carved steps and a steel cable.

If you plan a climbing trip during your holiday in the Pinzgau, please think about the required equipment.
