You would like to discover the nature surrounding the Klockerhaus in Krimml, but you don’t feel like hiking? Don’t worry, because on your summer holiday you can also get to know the Hohe Tauern National Park by bike.

Providing more than 140 tours for cycling, mountain biking and e-biking, the Hohe Tauern region is the perfect destination for your active holiday. Extreme mountain bikers (black trails) and very sporty bikers (red rails) will have a great time – just like hobby cyclists (blue trails) and lovers of flat terrain (green trails). You will also find some interesting tours for your family holiday in the Pinzgau.

A little recommendation in addition: It might take you more than only one holiday in the Klockerhaus in Krimml to manage the impressive trail network with more than 1,600 kilometres and about 80,000 metres in altitude.

The fascination of e-biking

Thanks to the invention of the e-bike, our high mountain range is now accessible to everyone. In your holiday in the Hohe Tauern region, you will be able to cope with large differences in altitude and discover the mountain landscape – without much effort. By the way, you can rent e-bikes in the Klockerhaus!

Mountain biking in Krimml: Cycling through the valleys of the Hohe Tauern National Park

A great way to discover the stunning mountain scenery around our hotel in Krimml is by mountain bike or e-bike. We highly recommend the surrounding valleys. Whether in the Krimml Achental, Obersulzbachtal, Untersulzbachtal, Wildgerlostal and Habachtal Valley or in the Kitzbühel Alps – clearly marked mountain bike trails and great experiences are waiting for you everywhere.

Tauern cycle path: (Tauernradweg)

Over a length of 270 and 310 kilometres, respectively, the legendary Tauern Cycle Path does not only lead across the Hohe Tauern National Park, but also through the entire Salzburger Land. The consistently asphalted and very family-friendly cycleway takes you from Krimml to the German city of Passau. The adventurous tour along the most beautiful places of Salzburg begins almost in front of our door. Maybe, our hotel in Krimml is even the best starting point for the Tauern Cycle Path.
