The supreme form of alpine sports

Holiday in the Hohe Tauern region chasing ibexes and chamois

Without any doubt, climbing is the supreme form of alpine sports. It demands technique, power, courage, endurance – and, of course, suitable mountains. We have plenty of those mountains. In total, 266 peaks higher than 3,000 metres await you during your holidays in the Hohe Tauern National Park.

The holiday region, in which hotel in the Pinzgau is located, offers a large number of via ferratas, climbing gardens, boulder spots, indoor climbing centres and high ropes courses.

Climbing gardens are outdoor courses where you can pracitce rock climbing. According to your individual skills, you can choose between several climbing routes. Climbers who spend their holidays in the Hohe Tauern National Park are also happy about the numerous via ferratas. A via ferrata is a protected climbing route, which uses additional climbing aids like iron ladders, rungs, carved steps and a steel cable. If you plan a climbing trip during your holiday in the Pinzgau, please think about the required equipment.

Via ferratas in the Hohe Tauern National Park

The “Kristall-Klettersteig” is one of the most difficult via ferratas in Austria and a special challenge for experienced climbers. The Via Ferrata Wald/Königsleiten, where you can learn the basic technique of climbing under professional guidance, is located near our hotel in Krimml.

High ropes courses

High ropes courses are perfect adventure playgrounds for climbers of all ages. High above the ground you manage different elements like rope bridges, timbers, etc. that connect trees with each other. Fun for the entire family – that is what awaits you at the high ropes course in the Zillertal Arena. In Neukirchen you will find the NO LIMIT high ropes course, a unique combination of high ropes course and via ferrata.
